They are immature and the parents are religious so they were probably pressured. I feel bad that they won’t have a chance to grow up before making this commitment.

Age 22 is not an adult.

Adulthood begins at age 26.

Wrong. More recent studies show prefrontal cortex maturation continuing well past the age of 30 years, marking this interpretation as incorrect and outdated.

D.C. law defines age 26 and younger as “juvenile offender” if arrested for a crime.

D.C. law also allows 16 year olds to emancipate from their parents and attain status of a legal adult. They need to make up their mind.

In Washington, DC, the minimum age to get married is 18 years old, but people can get married at age 16 with the consent of a parent or guardian.

I got married at 22, was very mature, and am still married 30 years later. You know nothing other than how to be a narcisist.

Are you jealous op that nobody wants to marry you?

Due to their religion, divorce is not an option. This is it.

LOL. Divorce and separation are always an option.

What is wrong with some people? Are you all so depressed and angry that you wish everyone evil?

It's a blessing to marry so early that you have a chance for two weddings.

I got married at 22 with religious parents on both sides! We’ve been happily married for 26 years.

If you don’t support the marriage, then don’t go.

I went to the wedding of an immature 40/36 couple, a real pair of trainwrecks, and a first wedding for both, lol. Immature people marry each other all the time, at every age.
