I hate that I'm neither of these two. But safer I think staying away from the people who don't understand the limits of military power when exercised by a morally-constrained western democracy. |

This is the only way to reclaim the Republican Party from the MAGAs. We have to vote them out of office one by one.
Whether you agree with the RINOs or not, most people will agree that the MAGA extremism is one of the worst things to happen to the US. Even if you don't think they are the worse politically, the fact that they refuse to discuss, negotiate or compromise is a problem. This country has lasted for over a century based on negotiating compromises. Everyone gets something, no one gets everything. But the MAGA and the Freedom Caucus have normalized drawing hard lines in the sand and refusing the budge, even shutting down the federal government over their political temper tantrums. They destroy almost everything they touch. The old school Republicans need to reclaim their party and this is it, one step and one extreme candidate at a time. |
People like Liz Cheney are not going to reclaim anything. She's an irrelevant relic. Nobody likes her. |
| Not to state the obvious, but both Cheney's are politicians. Both are shunned by the Trump crowd. If Trump wins the Cheneys lose, and they are still hated by Democrats. Now, in a self serving attempt at political survival and relevancy, they make a play for Harris and Democrat aligned revival. If Harris loses (likely) the Cheney's are no worse off but if she wins, they can ask for something and maybe get a bone. A good politician is like a good lawyer, they can play any side that pays them. |
once more, Biden started NO wars. Do you actually believe Trump's claim that 'it never would have happened' if he were President, vis Russia invading Ukraine and Hamas attacking a music concert? Then you'll believe anything he says. |
The MAGAs are the RINOs. |
Hear, hear. They are parasites |

This woman is a Democrat plant and operative. She is no Republican. She is not only trying to harm the Republican party’s chances in the Presidential race, but also now trying to harm the party’s chances of regaining control of the Senate, which they are favored to do. She has endorsed a Democrat in the Texas Senate race. She has made her choice that she is a Democrat. She will never be welcomed back into the Republican Party given her actions to stab the party in the back. |
What kind of plant? A ficus? A ficus whose dad served as VP and who was one of the highest ranking Republicans in the whole country until your idiot party threw her out for telling the truth about Trump? |
Well given that Putin endorsed Harris, yes, I do believe that war would never have started if Trump had won in 2020. And now that ship has sailed, Democrats are the one continually insisting on funding and providing arms in what looks like another forever (proxy) war. |
I consider her a Democrat. If she has aspirations of holding office in the future, she is better off running as a Democrat. She is unelectable as a Republican. She is nothing but a RINO swamp creature and Democrat plant. As a Republican voter, I would never even consider voting for her. |
I agree that she’s not going to be welcomed back into the Republican fold for a long time, and perhaps never again, but she is not a Democrat either. She’s a woman without a party, and she sees Trump and the MAGA crowd as a real threat to democracy and the rule of law. Ten years ago she would have laughed at the suggestion that she and her father would be endorsing the 2024 Democratic nominee for president. The Republican Party’s embrace of a an ignorant, corrupt, amoral, lying malignant narcissist who fomented an insurrection brought the Cheney’s to this point. Maybe Trump is the Democratic plant since he’s converted more Republicans into Harris voters than anyone else has. |
Trump had many opportunities to end wars when he was president, but he didn’t do it. Instead of ending them, Trump escalated every war he inherited. He sent more troops to Afghanistan. He loosened rules of engagement for US strikes. He ramped up the drone war. He increased support for the Saudi coalition while it was slaughtering Yemeni civilians. He also refused to end US involvement in the war on Yemen when Congress demanded it.” |
She’s toast, so should just leave politics. |
