Even then, it's a banging video, and I'm happy PP shared it. Nearly fell out of my chair laughing!

I graduated 30 years ago and this video closely resembles my experience there, albeit we had different music and fewer minorities.

I can't remember - did KDR (K too far) become the Mill?

nope, 2 weeks, nope

submitted test scores, school profile, list/resume of academics and athletics, senior courses (rigor critical) and current transcript

have overnights scheduled at both for september - that’s when deadlines get imposed

Thank you. A coach contacted our son asking to do a preread, just saying er needed to provide some information. The admissions office sent the full application. Curious if you considered other SLACs.

The overnights will likely help your son decide more than anything else.

I dunno if KDR became the Mill, seems unlikely. KDR was for nice but a little dorky kids. The Mill was for the not preppy types who were a little out there.

One girl announced pronouns as "him/his." We also toured Bowdoin and Bates and he got a much better vibe from the kids he met. This is just one data point, but if that is the look that Colby is putting forth as a first impression it tells you the image they want to project.

Were you also there last Saturday? 😃 If not it was the same bunch of guides. However I asked my son about that and he just shrugged it off - “they must have a quota to fill.” He’s not liberal and he liked the campus and the accessibility of outdoorsy activities.

Just so you know, this is a very normal thing at colleges. You usually start any college meeting with name and pronouns.

+100, just common practice since 2019 or so!
I do not think we encountered a single school on tour that did NOT do this.

really? I have toured four schools with my son (Bowdoin, Bates, Colby, and Villanova) and Colby was the only one that did so. it was a turn off.

It's a common occurrence. Just because they don't do it on a tour doesn't mean it doesn't happen. It really shouldn't effect your child if they aren't trans. Just say you're he/him and move on.

This may be a stupid question but do you have to apply ED?

If you want recruited athlete preference, yes.

I don't think it became the Mill either. And maybe I'm biased but I wouldn't describe KDR as dorky, but not sure how I would describe them...

Can you describe the vibe at Colby? We visited over the summer so hard to get a feel for the vibe.

Colby has a better campus life and academic opportunities, while middlebury has the better end outcome but is boring asf.
