Being pro sports at SJC is a requirement for any incoming President.

School needs to improve its academic persona

They have academics at SJC?

This kind of noise gets old. At a big school, there are plenty of very serious students, including many athletes. There's also a lot of kids not on a rigorous academic path. They fill a different niche than the smaller more elite academic schools, and guess what... that doesn't hurt anyone.

This is a lax board. Take your “we suck at sports but dominate academics” somewhere else

Hearing rumors that Garrett Ince might be leaving SJC.

Episcopal will be better next spring, they bring back most of their squad.

I'm not buying the GC hype. The Falcons beat nobody this year except DeMatha back in March.

Episcopal loses one key senior close pole. They lose a great middie who was injured all year and didn’t play. They played a lot of sophomores last who all developed over the year. There will also be a few significant additions coming in next year. EHS should be significantly better next year.

The problem with Episcopal is they have little depth to compete with the perennial powers in the IAC (GP, Landon, Bullis).

They fielded a very strong team in the Spring of 2023 because they brought in a few senior transfers and reclassified them (most notably Duke's starting goalkeeper this year who had a stellar freshman year).

Episcopal's program is not going anywhere anytime soon. They were fighting for the bottom of the IAC, I'm not sure the JV won a game and they didn't have enough players to play both a jv game and a varsity game on the same day because both teams used the same pool of players. Same goes for SSSAS and STA and even Bullis is struggling with numbers now that they don't offer scholarships.

Headed to SSSA. This will hurt Gonzaga the most as more local kids will opt to stay home.

Where did you hear that?

Why hasn’t SJC announced their All WCAC players?

Is this true

Offer made

Not sure if this is true but it will take more than a new coach to fix SSSA. Need numbers and that takes school support.

True, but a new charismatic and accomplished coach can't hurt. If it happens, let's all wish him the best as I think even these boards can agree we want the overall DMV lacrosse world to elevate.
