My husband was too professional to even express a political opinion. As it should be. He didn’t discuss politics with anyone. His own children didn’t even know where he stood politically until he retired. I shared my opinions with my friends but would never publicly take a position, no. I didn’t volunteer on campaigns until he retired. I can’t emphasize this enough but that is how it should be for roles that are non partisan and it’s sad that this seems to shock people.

The fact that you think we have choices is more evidence that you don’t understand anything we’re saying about rules, ethics, and professional conduct.
