Fifty isn't old

This is true of most ages. When I was 18 my mom told me to wear sunscreen or I'd have wrinkles by 30. I figured 30 is ancient and I won't even care what I look like anymore when I'm 30. 50 seems like a nice age to an 80-year-old but elderly to a 20-year-old.

-53 yr old.

It all depends on the person. Many examples of two people roughly the same age, one looks great and the other one looks old and broken.

Very true. I am 42 and younger men tell me I don't look a day over 21. My mother also is 65 and has no wrinkles. So i get away with dating younger men and I often look younger than those younger men as well

No way - get out of here. Guys that are trying to get in your pants flatter you and tell you whatever you need to hear to allow them in said pants? And you eat it all up? I’ve never heard of such a thing.

NP. Obviously, yes. 21-year-olds with washboard abs and lots of stamina > 40-something balding men with dad bods.

I’m the same age. Younger men and women say the same to me. Hate to break it to you, but they’re lying. You look youthful, but you don’t look 21.

When I was 40, I looked my absolute best and I was a mom of 3. I don’t think I looked 21 but I could easily pass as 30.

I am now 46 and wow, I feel pretty told now. I move slower. I’m tired. I have aches and pains. DH said 43 is when people start to no longer feel young.

I dont doubt the 42yo looks younger, especially if she is single and taking good care of yourself. But 50 is a long way from 42. Even the most beautiful celebrities can’t fight age in their fifties.

My friend got divorced at age 42 and she would date guys in their twenties. It was a huge ego boost for her. All her friends were married with kids when she was divorced and childless. She started hanging out with younger women and she looked and felt younger. I don’t think anyone said she looked 21 but I’m sure no one would know she was in her forties.

I looked my best at 42. I am 46. I don’t feel any different. I don’t look quite as good but everyone thinks I am in my 30s. They are shocked when I tell them my age. I date 27-36 usually.

I am a white guy and frankly I don't see many White people past 40 looking younger their age lol. Those who do good for you because you are in the minority. Women in general are very sensitive to this issue of "appearing old" and I understand. But facts are facts a 40 years old White woman is not going to look like a 25 years old woman.

Most people are not mean. They act shock for an act don't get it twisted. It's human nature to be kind to someone and say kind things that make them look good. So in reality they may think you really look 50 but they will tell you that you look 30 to make you feel good. And that's good take the compliment. Aging is part of life. The most important thing is to enjoy life everyday you are alive.

You will likely look great in your 50s too if you continue to take care of yourself.
I dont know why there so many deniers here. I guess its rare, unfortunately.

Some of us look fantastic!! Really good, more attractive than 30 year olds. Most definitely.

Dont care if you just cant fathom it. It does happen. No surgeries or botox. That stuff probably ages you.
