Daycare put potty training child in a diaper

Op here - thanks for the previous reply. This is what I thought, but others have said differently. We've booked in with our HV to see the route if there might be any underlying issues causing her not to get it at all yet

Sorry that it was difficult, but consider keeping at it. What you're teaching your kid is that they just have to get through one day and you'll give in and give back the history. Your making it harder for yourself the next time. Barring special needs, your kid is 3. There's no "they'll be ready in a few months but aren't yet" at play here.

Sorry I meant to say "diaper" here.

I’m not much of a believer in signs but I am a believer in parental sanity. If it’s simply too much to train now, I’d wait until your break in April and then plan to do nothing but potty training that week. If you’re lucky the weather will be good and you can spend a good chunk of it outdoors which always helps my mood.

Listen to the daycare, listen to her, listen to yourself. She is not ready. Go talk to the pediatrician. Maybe she’s constipated and that’s affecting potty training. Try again later.
