It'll be interesting to see if Shebra Evans files again too, or if she's going to leave the board.

I know Laura a little bit. She definitely has a lot of enthusiasm but I feel like she's a bit redundant in terms of her POV with Lynn Harris.

So much for diversity of thought. Look where the lock-step progressive agenda has led MOCO and MCPS.

"Diversity of thought" = affirmative action for Republicans.

I would add

No Flat Earthers
No Anti Vaxxers
No Creationists

to the PP's list.

What do you mean by this, specifically?

Reform the grading policy for high school.

- add + and -
- get rid of the A plus B is an A (aka 89.5 plus 79.5 is an A)
- add final exams and count the ap test as a final
- limited retakes
- consequences for turning in assignments excessively late
- in class hand written assessments to avoid AI/ internet cheating
- consequences for not reading books in English classes (if you don’t read the the one book how can you get an A?)
- give teachers the time to grade and provide written feedback so that students can learn to write
- teach grammar
- get rid of honors for all English classes in high school
- more vocational/career/tech Ed

That is just a start

Very reductionist liberal thinking. Easily hoodwinked by developers into supporting their agenda under the guise of equity.

It'll be interesting to see if Shebra Evans files again too, or if she's going to leave the board.

Laura Stewart is fantastic. Knowledgeable about CIP, school operations, responsive when people need assistance.

If you don't like Laura Stewart, vote for Shebra Evans (if she runs) and get more of what Evans offers, which is not much.

I hope there is a good alternative to both of them.

If she was such a good principal, maybe she should fill one of the many principal vacancies rather than running for BOE.

Or maybe she should do what she wants.

I like Laura's enthusiasm, but she's a little too beholden to the textbook progressive agenda for my liking.

Very pro-LGBTQ, hyper about performative antiracism and I'm not sure where she stands on safety and security and the need to crack down.

That being said, she's gotta be better than Shebra who's been asleep at the wheel for years.
