As a parent of a student who is looking like a solid B+ kid (and will be applying next year), can I ask which schools these are?

DP and same here. I would love to hear the schools that the solid B+ kid got in. When reading these threads, I feel like one has to be like an Einstein to even attend a university these days.

Don't despair! TONS of great schools out there for B kids.

Here too!

DD is super interested in Davidson! Congratulations- it looks like an awesome school. The one senior I know that applied early did not get in...would you mind sharing stats?

1560 SAT, 4.3 weighted from FCPS, 12 AP. These stats are somewhat higher than typical Davidson admits, but DS loves the school and had no interest in NE SLACs.

Davidson is huge on fit, so be sure to visit the school and attend the AOs high school visit. They literally asked for these indications on the application, including dates.

Awesome, congratulations!

My DC decided to ED to a target school they loved and they were accepted. Will be off to Macalester in the Twin Cities! The bonus - strong merit aid that we thought they’d be forgoing by applying ED!

William and Mary! My DS has struggled so hard to overcome ADHD challenges. Back in 9th grade I was just hoping he would get through high school. With a lot of hard work, therapy, the right meds, and an ADHD coach, he got into his first choice. So proud of him.

Another DP--my sophomore DD is a B+ kid, too and this helps a lot.

That makes 1 kid I know who’s been accepted (I know a handful of deferrals) - congrats

+2 I know of two legacy admits. And everyone else we know was deferred.

Congrats to pp’s kid!
