Anonymous wrote:William and Mary! My DS has struggled so hard to overcome ADHD challenges. Back in 9th grade I was just hoping he would get through high school. With a lot of hard work, therapy, the right meds, and an ADHD coach, he got into his first choice. So proud of him.

Congratulations! Wonderful achievement. Best of luck to your child.

Thank you so much. Your kindness is awesome.

Do you mind sharing stats? My kid is interested is SC, Wisconsin, Colby and Bates as well!!

DC has a 92.5 GPA and 35 ACT. At a highly rigorous private school in TX. Majoring in International Studies/Business and at least 1 foreign language (he currently takes 2). Pretty chill ECs, although he has spend a lot of time studying abroad and doing language competitions. I think his essays were really good.

Anonymous wrote:Congratulations to all the students and families. Some really impressive acceptances here but I personally feel an extra pang of joy for the kids who didn’t let ADHD discourage them.

We went through college apps a couple years ago with my ADHD student who struggled in high school but worked hard, thankfully had good college options and is now thriving and finally enjoying learning at the college level.

So excited for all of the 2024 graduates! Best of luck to all.

Absolutely on the ADHD struggle and grit. IYKYK!

+100

Thank you for seeing!

Here too!

DD is super interested in Davidson! Congratulations- it looks like an awesome school. The one senior I know that applied early did not get in...would you mind sharing stats?

1560 SAT, 4.3 weighted from FCPS, 12 AP. These stats are somewhat higher than typical Davidson admits, but DS loves the school and had no interest in NE SLACs.

Davidson is huge on fit, so be sure to visit the school and attend the AOs high school visit. They literally asked for these indications on the application, including dates.

1560 SAT and 4.3 weighted gpa is SO good- these stats were for averaging in B ?
Did your DS apply to any top 20?

If he gets Honors College at USC, take a hard look. Both it and IB there are amazing.

Just trying to calibrate here: is this Cistercian/St. Mark’s level rigorous or a notch below?

If he gets in SCHC, that is likely where he will go bc he would be direct admit into IB. Fingers crossed.

Anonymous wrote:My child with severe ADHD didn’t do well in hs, but she has still managed to be accepted to 2 schools (a small VA private and a Midwest directional U). Waiting on a few more schools (2 VA publics, 1 PA public and a small MA private) and has 1 more private to apply to. Still a fight to the finish line for HS, but at least she does have some 4 year options.

Congratulations! It’s tough to help kids with ADHD over the finish line and exciting to start a new chapter. Best of luck to your child!

Congrats! She’s lucky to have parents like you to help her!
