Those plates are from just over the river PG County. That is different than the people who generally are going to Caps games. |
| I think they may really leave. Leonsis and Younkin go way back. I don't think it's just about trying to get $ from DC at this point with the meetings that happened yesterday in VA. The process is actually well under way. |
| I’m sure Chinatown will experience a wonderful wave of revitalization after those greedy capitalists leave |
Youngkin leaves office next year. Ted's minority partners may have something to say about this as well. IMO, it is simply a decision to get leverage over DC. Actually leaving DC would be a really bad idea from a marketing and logistics standpoint. |
| Justin Wilson replied on the Rosemont listserv that he will have public comments on Wednesday. |
We could convert the old arena to housing. |
Lol thanks for your suggestion, Brianne. |
Everyone loses. DC gets more crime and more blight in Chinatown. VA gets more traffic and crime in Potomac Yard while VA taxpayers get hosed paying for a percentage of the new arena's construction. MD has to deal with longer and more inconvenient trips to Caps games, Wizards games, and other events. Actually, MD ends up losing the least. |
So people from PG County don't count? Why? Lovely sentiment. I guess all the Moco people who think their $hit don't stink will have to die mad if the caps move like 3 miles away. Y'all are ridiculous. |
Vibrant but affordable housing. |
| Will the Wizards be good by then? |
What is GP? |
Gallery Place which is the metro stop for the arena. |
The rebuild has only lasted 44 years. You need to give these things time |
So why is everyone vying for the arena?? |
