Wait, the Obamas produced this movie?
God, what a grift. |
|
Grift-Tacular.
Welcome to the new Psychological Operation. |
How so? Be specific. |
The book was great. It was a finalist for the National Book Award in 2020 and it was on Barak's summer reading list in 2021. I don't see this as a grift. The movie feels like a play to me. I liked it. |
| Glad I checked this thread. Will take it off my watch list. |
In the book the contractor was white. He wasn't a survivalist though. |
I think it's worth a watch. Even if you end up hating it. |
I expected an unhappy ending. But not a stupid one which made no sense at all. |
| Julia is 56…too old to play the mother of a 13 year old imho…very unlikely. |
That is a silly comment. And the movie was awful. |
Well my cousin has a 12 year old at 60. |
Exactly. Also, Julia was playing early 50s. |

“… Netflix fans fume over new apocalyptic thriller's 'unsatisfying' cliffhanger ending while others argue they missed the point: 'Where is the rest of the movie?!' …” Read the article here: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-12847265/Netflix-fans-fume-apocalyptic-thriller-unsatisfying-cliffhanger-ending.html effort |
Not every movie gets a happy ending, sweetie. What did you think? The internet would be restored magically, Rose could watch the last episode of Friends somewhere other than a bunker? The deer and flamingoes would become friends and live peacefully together ever after? I am shocked by the negative reviews but as another PP said, this isn't a very "deep" group. In fact it's a rather dim group. |
Hun, it’s not just DCUMs. Netflix viewers as a whole are trashing the movie.! https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-12847265/Netflix-fans-fume-apocalyptic-thriller-unsatisfying-cliffhanger-ending.html |
