I am the PP that noted they are all going to great schools and I stand by that. I was not aware of the original post so thanks for pointing it out BUT I would imagine that if any DMV team was ranked number one someone may like to point it out.

They will most likely fall in the final summer rankings as other clubs still have 1-2 tourneys to pick up points and Capital has turned tail and closed up shop. The real champs of 2025 will be decided on the field next month.

And before the Cap folks try to argue on that, the only reason why they even sniffed #1 after the fall is because YJ Spallina did the same thing in the fall. Everyone knows Spallina is the best team and they spanked Capital every time they played. So karma is coming to Cap Blue.

Who cares about rankings? That team has placed every single player at an amazing school. They won the prize that really matters. I am so confused by parents that think any of this has anything to do with anything other than getting into a top notch school. Mind boggling

Typical Capital hypocrisy. We don't care about rankings until we do (look at our rankings!). We don't care about wins and losses until we do (look at who we beat!). Give it a rest. Tiresome group and Im a part of it. Its embarrassing.

Speak for yourself. I have always been told that rankings don’t matter. Is it fun to see a local team in the top ten? For sure. I personally have never cared about the rankings and know many other Capital parents that would say the same. All share one goal and that is college.

They were number one based on a technicality that YJ Spallina didn’t qualify for that poll based on subjective criteria from the polling site despite easily handling them multiple times. They are a good team and all, but too often this forum acts like they are the best thing since sliced bread when in fact they just have had a bit of luck in the rankings to get the top spot.

Looking back at past seasons, surprisingly, Cap 25 B and aYJ 25 Spallina only played twice in 3 years. The first game was 7-6 final.

Nice try. It was 9-6 in 2022 and 11-3 in 2023. Probably would be 10+ if they played this year…

Hey Ricky Bobbiy, number two in the entire country is amazing. A bit of luck? No one is saying they are the Yankees or the Celtics, just that it was pretty fun to watch them for the last three years.

100% and I’m part of it too. All I’ll say is you should care about the rankings because it’s a measure of how good the team is. A top 5 team is going to place a lot more kids in college than the 30th ranked team. Seems pretty common sense. If this isn’t the case, girls lacrosse is even a bigger sham than I think it already is.
