Just regressing back to the mean. They were probably overrated as #1. A lot of talent in that team carries them, but the coaching is questionable at times and they lay an egg or two a year because of it.

At this stage it’s about having fun playing with your teammates for last summer. And not getting hurt.

More likely they were satisfied at being #1 and believed it in their heads and forgot how they got there with hard work. Their coaches believed it too and don’t hold them accountable. Rude awakening coming in college if that’s the case.

Yeah, think about the 2025 Cap Blue team. They lost 18-0 to Heros in their very first game as a team and that didn't stop them from losing 3 of 4 this weekend at Live Love Lax.

18-1 Hero's won the very first game as 9th graders. And Heros hasn't beaten Capital since. Heros even took a 15-3 beating from Capital (revenge ?) at Presidents Cup.
