| I have 3 fur coats--one karakul lamb trimmed with silver fox, one wool coat with silver fox collar, and one mink bomber style jacket. I puchased them all second hand for less than $50 each. All are in stunning shape. I wear them regularly dec-march around the dc/va area and no one bats an eye. |
I wear my mink, too, and nobody cares. My dd wears hers in nyc. These coats are lightweight and fun colors. |

Fur is murder!
Who TF wears real fur??? |
The animals are not murdered in brutal ways. They are euthanized in a humane manner. |
+1. The original statement is truly hilarious. |
|
Actually, the animals are never skinned alive. The animals are euthanized in a humane manner. Mink are euthanized with carbon monoxide. It is a painless death. So many people bought into the PETA hype with their nonsensical, inaccurate, staged video of an animal being skinned alive. That is not how the fur industry operates. And why would that occur? Even a child can figure out that it is easier, safer and more humane to skin an animal after it is dead. Think people. |

I have a fur coat I inherited from my grandmother. I love to wear it when I am dressing up in the winter. Thanks for this thread, I'm going to start looking for some more to purchase on FB etc. Sounds like there are some bargains out there!

| Have you tried Etsy? Might be able to find someone direct in Rusia or Turkey |
Where exactly do you go wearing a fur? MGM? I can’t think of anywhere else. I wear shearlings by the way, they keep me warm enough and I am broke |
I’m wearing a mink coat today. |
There are a lot of Greek furriers on Etsy, too. Their prices are very competitive. |
I don’t live in the DC area. I have several furs, and I have specific furs for specific occasions. Full length Demi-buff mink for church, holiday parties, date nights, and other formal affairs. A vintage full length mahogany mink for work, shopping, running errands, and casual occasions. A fox jacket for casual daytime activities, ie lunch or brunch dates, shopping, etc. I have 3 knee length coats that I wear for dressier occasions when temps are a bit warmer (ie. above 40 degrees): a sheared mink and leather, a swakara with chinchilla trim, and a broadtail with mink trim. I wear fur whenever I want, and as often as possible. I don’t save it for special occasions. In fact, I don’t save anything for special occasions. |
I'm so excited for you! I hope you absolutely love it! My first fur was a silver fox jacket. |
Finland has better quality than both of those countries. |
