Did Nutrafol make you gain weight?

I have been taking nutrafol for two weeks and am definitely a bit puffier - a couple pounds up that I think might be mostly water. I am discontinuing now - it's not worth it to me. How long do you think it will take for me to return to normal?

i was only taking 1 capsule daily of the balance formula and it was definitely making me hungry and causing me to eat more. worst thing is it gave me massive digestive issues-ibs/gas/constipation/bloating/diarrhea. i stopped and started it over a year so was able to be reasonably confident it was the nutrafol to blame and not something else. someone earlier on this thread mentioned they have major GI issues from it. Curious to know what they were and how long it took to resolve if still reading this

I took it for 6 months and didn’t notice any weight gain but I’m a spin instructor so I work out a ton. But I also didn’t notice any hair improvement so I stopped (those pills are LARGE). I just started Mary Ruth’s. Has anyone had a positive experience with their liquid hair growth?

I agree! It causes a significant amount of weight gain. I’m very active and eat sensibly so this weight gain is unexplainable except that I’ve started taking Nutrafol regularly.

Yes, gained weight. I only took 2 per day. Never got to 4 per day. Finished one bottle. I have no new hair growth at all. Will not take this ever again.

I have been taking 44 plus nutrafol vitamins and have gained 10 lbs! I work out 4 times a week and haven't changed my eating habits. I'm bloated and not happy with the weight gain. Do I have hair and be fat or no hair and skinny? Not sure I want to continue this vitamin

Yes I only took 2 pills a day and gained 8lbs in 2 months. No dietary or changes in exercise. It HAS to be the nutrafol. I pitched them yesterday and I’m not looking back. I just hope the weight comes off.

Yes I gained weight rapidly on the balance formula. No other changes in my diet or lifestyle. Have never had weight issues prior to Nutrafol. Was great for my hair but terrible for my body!!

Wow - many thanks to the OP for starting this thread!!! I’ve gained about 10-15 lbs in the last few months and could not figure out why, so figured I must be approaching menopause. Except that I have no other symptoms and i just now realized the weight-gain timing corresponds with starting nutrafol.

I never, ever would have connected those dots. Of course, there may not be a correlation for my weight woes, but I’ll definitely stop the supplement to see what happens. Thank you!

Interesting to read. I take viviscal and I don’t think it has caused weight gain. Might be a good alternative for some?
