Son snuck in girl, tell her parents?

My son would certainly be punished- grounded for a few weeks most likely. I definitely wouldn’t buy that shoe-returning story…not in a million years lol.

I would not tell the parents of the girl…it will just cause drama and may blow back on you. Parents these days are crazy. They obviously need to keep better track of their daughter.

Clearly- it will not happen again (make sure of that). What’s done is done, I’d talk with and punish my own son and move on.

FWIW I have both a 14yo DD and a 14yo DS.

Yes, absolutely, tell them. Praying they'll make sure she's on BC. And also, home at a reasonable hour henceforward.

The girl snuck out as we all did as teens. Not like the parents knew she was out. Just like the OP didn’t know her son had someone over. It’s a constant battle raising teens. I have 3 and 1 has been pretty good and the other two test my boundaries all of the time. All good kids, but some teens just test the limits and do more stupid things.
