YTD versus YTD is the correct comparison, dolt. |
The link has 2022 total results..... 2023 has an awful rate for crime and it's going to blow 2022 out of the water. |
|
The 20 year homicide trend at the link provided is not headed in the right direction.
Compare this year's results YTD to the pre-pandemic numbers. Horrendous. |
| What I find the most interesting about the link is that DC had an overall reduction in crime from 2021 to 2022. So what the hell is going on with 2023? Blaming the pandemic doesn't make sense. The policies aren't different than they were in 2021-2022. What gives?? |
Oh please..Red state crime always centers around and is driven by the sky high blue city crime rates within. |
They’re ExaCtLY thE SaMe ThiNG Right? |
I don't understand why someone always feels the need to post something like this. I don't give a shit about the crime rates in red states; I don't live there. I do care about the skyrocketing crime here in DC, where I live. |
| What is the Mayor doing about this and how can we hold her accountable for her failures to date? |
#notallmen ass comment |
They think black people don't care about crime and everyone else only gets concerned about crime due to racism. |
I think it's availability of guns to teens and young adults. DC seems to be flooded right now with ghost guns made from kits. |
There was a thought for a while that DC would continue to improve and most of the criminal element would move out of the city into the inner rings in PG. Obviously that thought is busted. |
I don't think it's wrong, but what's happening is that the criminal element still comes into DC to commit crime. When MPD makes an arrest they indicate where the person is from, and if you pay attention you'll notice that many are from PG. |
