It’s OP who should care, not us. But he asked.

She will have a baby, and you will end up with CS, limited college chances for your kids and delayed retirement in your 60s by at least 10 years.

I've seen many twice divorced men in their min 50s who got married to younger women with initial understanding that there won't be kids. But she gets pregnant accidentally or insists and he agrees. Then the new young family can't handle financial challenges and conflicts in blended household, ending in divorce.

Where? In flyover country? 25 years ago? I am 45 in the DMV. All of me friends have the youngest kids ages 6-9 now. We won’t be empty nesters until late 50s.

By US Census data - most women who gave birth in 2020 in dmv area were under age 30. At 45 they would be empty nesters.

I really don't know what she's thinking. Your kids are also the worst possible age for her. Younger or already grown could be worked with, by either having a blended family without a huge age gap, or starting fresh, respectively.
You really shouldn't have to cut her loose for her own sake but she really doesn't seem to be thinking clearly about her future.

She's thinking she's lonely and not wealthy and OP has money.

Then you must self-select for people like you because I live here and my first will be in college when DH and I are both 45.

Then I guess you should be dating OP’s girlfriend because he doesn’t appear to share your worldview.

yea, but I’m a straight woman. So we would not be compatible

OP you don’t even parent the kids you have. Get a vasectomy. Be honest with your girlfriend. Stop trolling DCUM.

They're all imagining the rage they would feel if they got divorced and their DH did that.

I would shoo him away in the best interest of the younger woman. She's at an age where if she wants kids, she should be dating men who want kids. I'd be furious if a man strung me along without telling me he didn't want kids.

You would be totally dependent on the man for the decision, and you wouldn’t be furious at yourself in any way for failing to take charge of your own life. 🙄

I know someone who “took charge of her own life” in this situation! Pulled the goalie without telling the guy she was dating. Now he has every-other-weekend custody and a child support payment.

I don’t get any of this. Are you against financial support of child?

My gf is over 30 years younger than me and doesn't want children. I expect her to change her mind in the next 50 years. I'm happy either way.
