The photo of the guy holding a gun was like 10 years old, wasn't it? |
Yes, but he still participated in gang activity. |
What gang activity? According to Canek Aguirre and John Taylor Chapman on city council there are no gangs in the city of Alexandria.

You had me until the ad hominem attacks. People have legitimate concerns about the city and the schools. Name calling doesn't change that, even if you don't agree with them. Sadly, this is what your guy Wilson does to people too. Do better. |
If you're curious, here's his more recent FB profile. My hope is that his son finds a better path. My my sleuthing, it seems like he was a pretty involved father, and was still together with his sons mother after at least a few years. He appears to have tried to find legitimate work, but maybe the old connections and ties were too hard to cut. https://www.facebook.com/emoney.holmes |
And you had me until you were like "Children don't vote and they might also want really big wide roads and exclusionary zoning if they could /BIBA OUT (I remembered!)" - and of course the thing about not bothering to engage with any of the actual substantive reasons I laid out. It's never in good faith with you all. |
You understand that he literally did nothing and was not responsible for WMATA adding that metro station. He's a ribbon cuter and photo taker as a mayor. That's it. It's a ceremonial position. I worked on the financing for this deal back in the 2000s. It's been in the works for decades. Wilson cannot take any, and I mean ANY, credit for this project. Please stop that noise. |
A lot happened after the financing for the deal in the 2000s. And your phrasing that "WMATA added it" like Alexandria did not champion it and pay for substantial parts of it and then negotiate for Amazon to fix the parts that had to be cut due to budget to make the station whole again - that's all stuff that happened in the last decade and the mayor championed. Speaking of that entrance deletion, that was a major screwup on his part and the whole council's, but at least he owned it, vs the actual mayor who I still have no idea whether she actually knew what had happened or if her head was just spinning around on her neck there in 2017/2018 while we dealt with that unpleasantness. |
| The mayor's video seems to blame the residents for the increase in crime since they are begging for tips. But as in all high crime areas "snitches get stitches." |
| Team Justin bringing the insults today! |
Another car jacking????!!! In the west end??? |
"Huh?" - Mayor Justin Wilson |
No idea, but if so, what's your point? You think the school has changed significantly since then? |
Justin had zero to do with the negotiations. I worked on the deal. He cannot take credit for any of it. None. |
I'm not finding this quote up thread. Ad hominem, straw man and tribalism. Nice! |
