You missed the best parts! |
Would you still find squinty eyes funny if you were Asian? (No, you most likely wouldn’t.). That’s the thing - it’s funny only to white people. |
Watched this around 11/12 and had no clue about that either. My mom was more concerned about us not watching the “watermelon scene”. Lol |
Agree |
Airplane. I thought that movie was so funny when it came out but when my teens and I watched it, they were horrified. They were like, there are people storming the plane and running all over the place and this is awful they were just horrified. |
Huh? Like when they're panicking when they think the plane is going to crash? |
exactly my point. its not funny and it wasn't funny then. and it could be a teachable moment. |
I watched ALL of these movies as a kid with little to no parental supervision and I turned out normal enough to spend all my free time hanging out here at DCUM, so maybe our collective fears are a little overblown. |
It’s such a shame that they had to include all of the sex stuff. It’s an otherwise classic movie that kids would love. |
I can’t believe the number of people who wouldn’t let their kids watch Blazing Saddles!
How about All in the Family or The Jeffersons? |
Back to the Future |
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Absolutely racist bs. |
It's really something how we all just accepted that this was a really romantic movie. My 12 year old really wants to watch it and I'm like, can you show this to a 12 year old in 2023? |
Poltergeist was PG. |
LOL. |
