Right Winger Stephen Crowder abusing pregnant wife

Bottom line: Crowder, like most far right so-called "leaders" is a sociopathic, narcissistic, authoritarian, controlling, and misogynistic a-hole. This just keeps getting proven to be true, over and over and over and over again.

Anything other than blind obedience could be described the same. At some point you are diluting the power of the word abuse.

What are you saying?

Republicans are waving flags and announcing that all the relationships they’ve been in are and have been abusive and they have no idea how healthy people interact. They believe that coercion, intimidation and withholding are normal behaviors and they’re genuinely shocked that anyone outside their weird power dynamics think otherwise.

I’ll be back when I’m back? If a man said that to his wife, DCUM would EXPLODE and rightfully so. I would not dream of telling my spouse that and leaving him housebound for an indeterminate length of time.

I'm not surprised that someone came in and cherry picked part of the video in favor of Steven Crowder. Doesn't make it any less pathetic. He tells her she can't take the car - not that he needs the car at X time. It's a manipulation tactic. He tells her she should take an Uber. Why can't he take and Uber. He's literally sitting on the couch smoking, doing nothing, while talking about her "wifely duties."

So, not a good try, and we're not falling for it.

And why do they only have one car? That she then needs to ask for permission to use.

Because she says she’ll be back when she wants to be, which is passive-aggressive. Maybe one car is in the shop?

I know whenever my wife isn't sure how long something is going to take I threaten to F her up.

That’s not what she said. She could have said “It will probably take about 2 hours” or “I’ll call you on my way home but figure 3 hours” He’s telling her he has things to do too, and she doesn’t acknowledge. Did Crowder F her up? Has he in the past? The fight sounded two way. My left wing husband rarely raises his voice, and then when I do, accuses me of abuse. It’s a tactic the marriage counselor pointed out to him.

Bro, no. He's clearly mistreating her. The fact that she didn't submit to his demands does not absolve him.

You don't have to defend him. I'm a R, and I think he's awful. He has a long, long history of lying to make himself look better. Don't be a fool.

If they are sharing a car and he wants to spent time doing things on the same day, she needs to state how long she’ll be gone. My husband did this EVERY weekend when bike riding. Would pick a day by weather, tell me he’ll be back when back, and leave me with three littles for the better part of 8 hours while he rode. It’s classic manipulation on her part - why can’t she state a time frame?

Why can't he take an uber? It's not like he's not rich.

+1
He suggested she take one. Why can't he?
I'll also tell you why abuse victims don't state a time frame. If they're even a minute off that "promised" time home, they have to account for it. You think, based on what's on that video, if she said "I'll be back in one hour" and she's back in one hour and 15 minutes, that's going to fly with this a-hole? She's vague because she has to be.
Any guy who suggests his 8-month pregnant wife take an uber to the grocery store (a family chore) so he can go to the gym (personal fun time) is no man.

That’s an assumption you are making. He stated he needed to use the car and told her what he would like to do - gym and see his parents. He was negotiating time.

So. Take. An. Uber. Like. He's. Asking. An. 8-month. Pregnant. Woman. To. Do.

Why can’t she give him a time frame so both can use the car?

He’s saying here that if they don’t respect the privacy laws, neither will he. Are you saying his wife and lawyer can say and publish everything about him an it’s abusive for him to do same if they do it first?

Classic abusive retaliation.

Why isn’t it abusive if she and her lawyer release information on him, violating privacy agreement(s)?

That’s my experience as a Republican woman, but I was married to a leftist.

Who cares? In what scenario does an acceptable human tell the woman pregnant with his child, "I'm going to f*ck you up?"

Answer: he's a d*ck

Interesting that he grew up in Canada.

This is a weird segment of her Twitter. I clicked the link and she’s calling him abusive and a monster. She’s not on his side.

Turns out the liberals were right when they said he was an abusive monster. Not the liberals' fault. The offense is apparently that liberals spoke the truth out loud.

Yet she can’t just plain call him out as an abusive and a monster without bringing “the left” into it. He’s not our guy, Bethany.

Maybe you can't. But the people on the right that are discussing this find it easy to call him a dick based on his behavior and not his politics. You might want to consider expanding your emotional and intellectual range.

I'm a Republican, though I don't really follow the windbag types like this guy. I can honestly say I must have been living under a rock, I had no idea who this dickstain was until last Tuesday.

She’s not wrong, though, that people on the Left basically see this as confirmation of how the Right think of women. See also: Kellyanne Conway’s daughter, Koskan raping his daughter, etc. If the Right doesn’t start disowning these people— and instead hilariously tries to parse these videos to blame the victim as we’re seeing on this thread— they become more and more distanced from what most people of any political persuasion consider decent human behavior.
