Also to talk about "disciplining" his wife.... where in a modern, respected marriage full of family values does someone say they need to "discipline" their spouse?

He didn't say that He was talking about showing self-discipline.

I think he was saying that she should practice self discipline not that he would spank her or something.

Leftist hear what they want to hear and they disregard the rest.

So it's cool to tell your pregnant wife you're going to "f*ck her up"? That's ok right?

This is ok?

“And the fact is, when I go, ‘Look, I need you to do A, B, C and D,’ you should be disciplined about it, you go, ‘No!'” he complained — ordering her to “become worthy — wife worthy.”

It's really strange that anyone would defend his behavior. She's 8 months pregnant and he's smoking a cigar in front of her, ordering her around. He shouldn't be smoking near her and he should freaking help out. She's basically his servant and baby making machine.

Reason? You thought she might divorce you and take half the money - money that you were not placing in a joint account to begin with, while she was a SAH because one of your kids has chronic health issues. Didn’t work in the end (I lucked out and got a very good social services person) but I faced both jail time and loss of child custody if it had. Which of course, was the ultimate goal.

If he was truly abusive, there’s no way that conversation would have ever occurred.

Are you trying to gate keep abuse? Your ex was a sociopath, obviously. But some abusers, like this clown, are just straight up childish trash. Doesn’t change that it’s all abuse.

My right wing husband treats me like a duchess….. so I don’t see what politics has to do with this. This guy is no good.

Not all right wing men are sociopaths. The reason this is related to politics is because Steven is a political commentator. He's said a lot of of misogynistic things over the years as "jokes" but it's clear they never were jokes.

I’ll be back when I’m back? If a man said that to his wife, DCUM would EXPLODE and rightfully so. I would not dream of telling my spouse that and leaving him housebound for an indeterminate length of time.

I'm not surprised that someone came in and cherry picked part of the video in favor of Steven Crowder. Doesn't make it any less pathetic. He tells her she can't take the car - not that he needs the car at X time. It's a manipulation tactic. He tells her she should take an Uber. Why can't he take and Uber. He's literally sitting on the couch smoking, doing nothing, while talking about her "wifely duties."

So, not a good try, and we're not falling for it.

And why do they only have one car? That she then needs to ask for permission to use.

This is always the line whenever a right winger does something bad. “None of us like him” is offered as if that’s an excuse. Notice you can’t just say “that’s a really inappropriate way to treat your spouse” and the collective you never appears to wonder why personality disorders are rife among your thought leaders.

Yes, especially because the $50 million contract was offered by Ben Shapiro and the Daily Wire!! They clearly hate him so much.

I think the real question I'm starting to have is why are some of the people in this thread so invested in believing that Stephen isn't a horrible human? Defending someone that treated his wife this way says a lot more about the right wing people that come to this board than anything else I've ever read here.

It was after that, moron. We are talking about right now. And there's no dispute that the right hates him-- Crowder says this attack is from the right and even aired a video of Candice Owen talking smack about him.

This is an excellent question. He's utterly repellent otherwise:

+100 I watched the entire clip and it made me sick. This is a perfect example of emotional abuse.

PP here, plus he told her he was “going to f her up”. Sadly abuse tends to escalate when a woman is pregnant.
