This is a horrifying reflection on the people of College Park. They refused to even mention the terrifying reason for his arrest. In light of all the evidence so far, how does anyone believe he didn’t assault any children, considering his age?

That was from the statement before they knew the reason for his resignation. They issued a second statement after the council found out why he resigned:

COLLEGE PARK, MD, March 2, 2023 - The City of College Park was made aware this morning of former Mayor Patrick Wojahn’s arrest by Prince George’s County Police and the charges that have been filed. We are shocked and disturbed by the news; what has come to light in this investigation is a total surprise to us. The City knows that this news is distressing and difficult for our community, and we encourage our residents to seek any help they feel necessary to work through this trying time.

This is an on-going and active investigation. The City will respect the process of this investigation and will cooperate fully with requests for information. All related media inquiries about the arrest and charges should be directed to the Prince George’s County Police Department.

The news stories have not been clear about the source of the material. Whether he produced it or was only redistributing it. There is no reason to assume that he was not involved in the production which has significant implications for his associates, including his spouse.
