DP here. I have experienced both, and I feel much safer on the T, which isn't saying much, comparatively.

Very, very few people in this area have so much as driven through Boston, so I would not worry so much about what DCUM thinks of Boston.

Bostonians are not thinking about DC people at all.

I don’t think you realize how many people in the DC area have roots in, connections in, or business in greater Boston.

However, you’re right about Bostonians not thinking about the DC area. Bostonians only think about themselves and how superior they think they are.
