We’re reporting only 2023-2024 right now.

And of course, it’s expected that Parochial schools are a lot more affordable than Independent ones

It’s not a parochial school and yes, esp for purposes of financials, there is a difference. But you be you.

Bullis includes lunch

But Bullis total is $55,110 by 12th grade

The figures above were excluding fees. If you want to add them in for all of them, be my guest.

Many schools do not charge extra fees. It annoys me that Bullis does. They nickle and dime us on top of the high tuition.

Huh? They all have fees. SFS has a textbook fee, tech fee, yearbook fee. SSFS has an intersession fee, textbook fee, and athletic fees. SSSAS has a parent association fee, tech fee, book fee, and even a graduation fee!

Holton doesn't charge extra for most of the items you listed

Neither does Potomac.

Yes Potomac does. There are fees for books, yearbooks, and various athletic fees.

That is less than half what we are paying at our Big 3! How is college placement?

At $50K a year, are you really nickel and diming over lunch?

No. A few misquoted attempts that show as black and then the following post by itself:

Again if a school is $52k and doesn’t provide lunch (easily $2k) and another one is $46k with lunch, an $8k difference could mean a lot to some. Times that by two kids you’re looking at $64k price difference just for high school comparing GDS and Burke. Add in interest, it’s easily 2 years of college tuition.

Yes, they do but the info is there at 12:45 for those who can navigate through others’ technical challenges. Those who can’t end up making unhelpful comments.

Current Potomac parents, for what fees are you charged in addition to tuition (besides lunch, accident plan and/or tuition insurance)? Thanks in advance!
