All Potomac fees are included in tuition. |
Because some dunce-cap decided to randomly add 5% to some schools' tuitions. |
This is way outdated information. GDS provides lunch for all students in the lower and middle school |
I'm going to suggest some reading comprehension |
No they are not. |
Field is newly charging $2600 round trip for bus fees next year -clever way to increase tuition by 7.9% to $56,935 (without lunch) for most families. |
To be fair and accurate, some families do fall into that category. And some families will use the bus only one way for $1500. Some families do not use the bus at all. And families on FA will realize FA in their bus fees. I appreciate the fairness of only being charged for what I use. Plus, I don’t think other schools offer free bus service. If I’m wrong about that I’m sure someone will let me know. Speaking of clever, Field is raising tuition for the middle school 0.0% next year. |
| Landon - $50,409 (includes lunch, bus is extra) |
| Can someone with data pls rank these from least to most expensive for 2023-2024 or from most to least ? |
|
Or, alternatively, go ahead and the work yourself. The data for most schools is in this thread. Enter them into a spreadsheet. Sort. Poof.
Laziness knows no bounds. |

Metaphor: Russian immersion, advanced math, 8-6, lunch and snacks included, plus daily French
$15k, probably will move up to 16k next year Currently k-3, building up to k-8. I believe there is a similarly priced and positioned Turkish school near Chantilly, cannot recall its name. More mainstream French immersion Rochambeau in Bethesda is 28580 for HS 2022-23, less expensive for elementary. There exists a world of good education in a small classroom setting that is reasonably affordable to middle class families. |

I said it before in another thread, and I will say it again here.
I would happily teach 15 students for $50k / year each. I would spend 1 hour with them in a group for the 4 key subjects each day and 1 hour / week with each one on one. I would work 40 weeks (yes that’s quite a bit more than you actually get at private school). 1 week off for Thanksgiving, 2 weeks for Christmas, 1 for spring break, and 8 weeks for summer. Seriously, do you all realize how out of whack the market is here? Why not incentivize teachers directly and remove all the middle men? We know what you really want. Accolades on accolades on accolades. Great test scores and nurturing. https://youtu.be/FM5HkpyXxsQ |
Please go away. |

OP. Trying again. Please only add/edit once you have confirmed numbers. I believe my original numbers are now accurate.
Too much to add transportation as many don’t even offer. Agree most schools have fees so let’s try to keep basic apples to apples. Gonzaga $28,240 (includes lunch) Basis McLean $35,000 (lunch?) St Anselms $35,000 (doesn’t include lunch) SSFS $40,980 (includes lunch) Georgetown Prep $42,190 (lunch) Burke $45,996 (lunch?) This is 22-23 need new Maret $46,230 (includes lunch) Potomac $48,988 (includes lunch) SSSAS $49,030 (lunch?) St. Andrew's $49,680 (includes lunch) Landon $50,409 (includes lunch) GDS $51K (no lunch even for sale) NCS $53,208 (includes lunch) Field $54,335 (doesn’t include lunch) Bullis $54,540 (includes lunch) Sidwell $55,140 (includes lunch) STA $55,468 (includes lunch) Holton? Checked SJC and GC, they don’t have 2023-24 up yet. |

I have to agree. If I had wanted a village school with one teacher to raise homestead wackos, I wouldn’t have had to pay you a fee. I most likely have a higher degree than you do.
And yet I’m not arrogant to think I can teach everything. |
