Tell me when you pass a tesla or your stopped next to one at a light you don't HAVE to look over and take a look to see who the person driving it is.

I mean, you realize that none of the big automakers would be producing EVs were it not for Tesla, right?

Wrong actually.

And for god's sake Elon did not invent Tesla. He could not invent a simple fan.

exactly. I stated this upthread, too. The idea was not his original idea. Also, I read some where a while ago that he started Tesla purely to impress a woman.

He doesn't really care about green house emissions. Please. He moved to a state that supports big oil and has laws about selling EVs directly. In order to buy a Tesla in TX you have to get it out of state.

Yet, Musk still lives in TX. Why? Because he knows people will still buy them, though tides may be turning.

In the history of Tesla, omg people Musk did not invent any technology ever.

He stole Tesla from its original makers. He went to court over and over again just like Don The Con actually Elon credits his court acumen to Dump.

College degree hahahahahaha Standford the DCUM school lied for him lost in court lied again lost again. Stanford is a crap school this is a fact. How they handled this situation was atrocious.

Omg who cares. That's like saying Howard Hughes had no impact on aviation because he didn't invent flight and the aircraft. It takes more than just inventing something, it takes a business magnate mind to change the world with new ideas as well because you still need to commercialize and develop new inventions even if they were invented by someone else. Inventing something new is one thing, but going out raising capital, and developing the means of production on an industrial scale to get new technologies widely adopted is a whole different beast. Just because Elon didn't invent Tesla's technology doesn't mean anything. Do CEOs of pharmaceutical companies all personal invent the therapies they sell? No.

Dumb argument.

DP. I mean, so what? Lots of car makers were developing electric cars when Mush came along, they continued to develop and raise capital and "develop the means of production" to "commercialize" and launch their electric cars. Musk is special because... he's a pos.

Complete BS. Virtually no car makers before Tesla were making EVs on a large scale and were successful at getting them adopted. You have a completely warped revisionist history.

Yup.

Pp above just cares about political bs, not about climate change or about simple truth.

DP.. do you think Musk actually cares about climate change? Do you think his space rockets are good for the environment? Why would someone who cares about climate change move to a state that is big oil friendly?

do you think Musk actually cares about climate change?

YES

Do you think his space rockets are good for the environment?

THEY ARE CERTAINLY GOOD FOR HUMANITY IN THE LONG-TERM, AND FOR UKRAINE THIS VERY SECOND.

Why would someone who cares about climate change move to a state that is big oil friendly?

FOR THE SAME REASON SO MANY LARGE COMPANIES HAVE LEFT CA. THE STATE HAS BECOME A PAIN.

I'm sure if someone in Ukraine declined to use Musk's products for the war effort Musk would call him a pedophile like he did with that Brit who was helping the Thai cave victims. That's what petulant aholes do when they feel slighted by someone -- they name call them in public. Just like Turd Trump.

https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2018/jul/15/elon-musk-british-diver-thai-cave-rescue-pedo-twitter

You should attack his products personally, and see what name he calls you, then continue driving a Tesla.

I feel like it's been 5 years since this comment would even make sense. I see 10 Teslas a day on the road, it's not like they're so attention grabbing and unusual.

A model 3 is as ubiquitous and unimpressive as a Camry. Demand falling off a cliff probably means other people are coming to the same conclusion. If Teslas's market cap wasn't more than most other automakers combined, this wouldn't be a problem, but Tesla needs to be both volume manufacturer with significant pricing power. It seems like the don't have that pricing power anymore.

Musk is not a genius so much as his narcissism (I’ll save the planet with EVs and then I’ll colonize Mars) aligned with an era of easy money and that attracted competent talent to execute given endless buckets of money to eventually have viable businesses. For instance, Shotwell is SpaceX secret sauce.

Besides that look at his ugly face and his expressions, look at how he treats women and his employees. His behavior is no different than Trump and that means that he is unhinged.

What I find so distasteful is that people are finding faults with Musk now. He was always a douchebag and behaved poorly all his life. Plus his father is also a nasty man. There is something very wrong in how he has been raised and his family.

His father had a baby with his own stepdaughter.

ironic that TX doesn't give rebates from Tesla purchases because they don't sell through retail. If you want to buy a Tesla in TX you have to buy it out of state, and then ship it in. LOL

Musk is an adult whatever his family is well good for them, meanwhile he is literally a traitor to the US and should be removed and stripped of citizenship. His words are not free speech neither are his actions. oh wait 47 % of the country is with him isn't that wonderful, the US a county in Russia by 2026.

Anyone know percentage of return customers to Tesla. Know 6 people who had one and none went back. In fact, 2 got out in less than a year.

NP. I wouldn’t even notice except for those stupid DeLorean doors that make carpool pickup take longer.
