Demand collapse for Teslas

Bought a model X two years back. Now detest the man. Going to have to take a loss on this eventually but my next luxury electric car will NOT be a Tesla.

Same!

It's funny because who did Musk think was buying EVs? Did he really think conservatives were his client base?

So glad I ignore the CEO’s politics when I choose a car. Makes life easier.

sure, life is easier when you have no ethics.

There are several car models you could get. Why does it have to be a Tesla? Because you wanted a name brand. Well, I guess jokes on you now.

but Elon is a GENIUS

I also hate hate hate the giant screen thing they do with Teslas. When I'm driving, being able to reach out and grab a knob or button requires less attention and eyes than pushing a screen. I want to be able to out on the defogger or adjust the airflow without touching a screen.

+1 much easier to feel for the dial without taking your eyes of the road than having to look at the screen to see where you are tapping while driving. I hate these modern cars where all the controls are in the screen and function with a touch. And when you put the car in reverse, on some cars, the screen shows the rear view and the passenger who was trying to do something on the screen has to wait for the screen to come back. Pet peeve and first world problems.

Hmm, I'm a conservative and just purchased my third. More for me!

Hey, not going to interrupt you and whatever you want to do for fun, but Tesla is tanking. Feel free to laugh at that, too. The cars are not a good investment, though.

It’s not a political statement, I just don’t want my car to make me think of Elon Musk. It’s like tasting something unpleasant.

Recent buyers are livid. The value of the vehicle they just got a month or two ago has plunged by $10K or more:

Just like Elon looks in all his pics

This is funny because in my circle it’s now an outlier to not have a Tesla. Nearly everyone I know with less than three kids has one, and Elon is the reason.

We bought one in November and I certainly feel this way!

VW and its other brands (Audi, Porsche, Lambo) represent much worse ethics with the awful emissions scandal. I hope you are admonishing all these vehicle owners as well
