Tesla cut prices on new cars by 10-20%. No one’s going to buy a used Tesla when they could get a new one for the same price (esp since inventory is way up).

That’s probably not the smartest way to look at it. The other car companies’ advantage is that they have many beloved models that they can electrify, so a great diversity of style and size. They also have decades upon decades of experience pumping out refreshed designs. Tesla is already starting to look stale, and they have no plans to refresh their looks anytime soon. Bottom line, they won’t be able to hold onto the cool cache much longer.

The additional major advantage of the larger automakers is the ability to service vehicles quickly. Tesla has been abysmal when it comes to repairing and servicing anything accident or recall related.

Teslas are the new R*dskins season tickets: formerly unobtainable and now readily available at a discount.

To be fair, you'll get more function and enjoyment from your electric car than sitting with a bunch of Eagles fans at the stadium in Landover. Nobody is going to be giving away their Tesla the way they do with R*dskins tickets.

Yeah, buying an EV from a major car maker, they aren't struggling with figuring out other issues. They know how to build steering, for instance.

I also hate hate hate the giant screen thing they do with Teslas. When I'm driving, being able to reach out and grab a knob or button requires less attention and eyes than pushing a screen. I want to be able to out on the defogger or adjust the airflow without touching a screen.
