The idea that an individuals record of public service for the most vulnerable should be impugned or cast in a negative light because you disagree with them about sidewalks in your neighborhood is an absolute joke. It’s also why you are sharing these opinions online because you’d never dare to say something like this to actual real people. I honestly don’t know if I could contain myself from laughing if someone said something so stupid to me.

I guarantee to you that many of us weighing in here have told Bill Slover and his merry band of NIMBYs - in writing and in person - exactly what they think of the horribly irresponsible nonsense propagated by the "Save Don't Pave" campaign. You obviously don't understand the slightest thing about the issue and, for that matter, seem resistant to education given how you keep referring to it as a disagreement about "sidewalks". It's also pretty sad that you think of road safety as some kind of joke. Those of us who have watched family members come within inches of being mown down on MacArthur don't see it that way at all.

You know something that I have never heard people say ever outside of online, “I’m a YIMBY”. It’s incredibly hilarious and exactly why you come here to post your bad opinions.

Not the PP you're responding to. I have heard people in real life say they're YIMBYs. I don't know why you would call it "incredibly hilarious", especially because it doesn't sound like you're actually happy about what you're posting.

99% of the world doesn’t know what the hell that is. Absolutely hilarious and a good indicator that you live in a tiny, tiny bubble of your own making. Even ostensible YIMBY politicians are not out there proudly declraing themselves YIMBYs. Although I suspect part of that might be that they don’t want to associate themselves with the new gamergate online harassment movement..

Person who hasn't encountered something says the person who has encountered it is living in a bubble.

The idea that you think that you are at the vanguard of a popular political movement shows that you are incredibly delusional. Keep ii up! No one is listening to you and no one cares.

Evidently you care.

I care about disparaging people who try to make the city a better place. I couldn’t care less about your pet interests.

I know of hundreds of people who signed “Save Don’t Pave” petitions thinking that they were doing their part to protect a pristine wilderness because Bill Slover and his neighbors told them so. They were also duped.

You’re so lost down your rabbit hole that it’s hopeless. Apparently nothing is more important to you than your dumb neighborhood squabbles. So silly and frankly childish.

Here’s my question to you: what do you do to volunteer your time to improve the welfare of people in the city and not just your neighborhood? Anything at all? Thought not.

Hopeless are those who were duped into thinking this guy cared about anything other than himself. Maybe you are one of them. Maybe you are him. Hard to tell.

Almost everyone who has seriously engaged on the trail issue volunteers on a variety of causes across the city. Thanks for asking.

I was wondering about that too.

Tthere is not one person on this thread who disagrees with Bill on what he is saying about housing.
Everyone here believes what he is saying is true.
Alerting Fed on this issue was a good thing.
Criticizing them was a good thing.

Please scroll back and see if anyone talking about the "Save Don't Pave" campaign is disagreeing with Bill on housing.

And why can't I agree on him with what he is doing on that issue, but disagree with what he is doing against safe access to the new High School?

Am I suppose to agree with everything Bill does? Does it have to be all or none?

Someone on this thread keeps twisting the issue.
