Don't forget about Next Level, playing .500 lacrosse this spring so far. NL had a nail biter win against CCLAX, and then got next-leveled by Maryland United. Pride is next . . .

Any DMV team will get leveled by Maryland United.

MDU is not unbeatable. DMV teams would match up better with with MDU than M&D or Coppermine.

My take: Pride Red is a solid team with great players but I think MDU (and the other top 4 teams would beat by a margin of at least 5-6 goals); Stars will be blown out like NL. MDU, while not unbeatable, will blow through any DMV team.

Whoever thinks MDU isn’t as good as M&D or Coppermine is stuck in the land of bad DMV teams. All 3 of those teams plus Hero’s Green can beat each other on any given day. All 4 would steam roll the DMV teams. Pride 28 is much weaker than their 27 team. The main difference in any of the DMV teams is they have 4-5 good players and that’s it. Every player on M&D, MDU or Coppermine is good and there is no drop off in depth.

My guess: your kid is a decent lax player. But I bet you scored about 200 on your SAT verbal. You clearly suck at reading comprehension.

Not sure if you are paying attention, but there has been some stratification at the top. Coppermine has been unbeatable vs other mid-atlantic teams since last Spring. MDU is improving, and they have the best individual player in the region, but has been erratic. Pride 2028 tied them last Summer, for example. M&D is struggling against top competition. Heroes Green is beatable. Pride had a lead going into the last 10 minutes and lost by 1 in November. Lots of changes as players develop. Should be a very interesting Spring. I'm hoping a DMV team beats one of the top 5 this year. It's not impossible. And no merger necessary... We can wait for Capital.

Thanks Pride Dad for that hard hitting analysis. Sounds like a lot of woulda coulda shoulda on more losses. The Top 5 NGLL A teams are not losing to any DMV team this spring, but keep the faith going!

Maybe true, but other local teams either have more 1) stars on their team, or 2) girls with pride, which could next level the playing field against MDU.

Are you saying if Pride and Stars combined they could compete with MDU? Possibly, but the reality is it's not happening.

And to the PP about the MDU middie, yes 1 of the top players around.

The MDU #9 is a beast. Watched the NL/MDU game and NL #44 was impressive too despite the score.

I hope you told her how well she played during the car ride home.

Sorry, no player on the team with 2 goals was impressive on that day.

Unfortunately because 2 teams dropped out of NGLL the playoff pool will only be 4 teams instead of 6, so one of the top 5 teams will be left out of the hunt and pride won’t get a chance to be a Cinderella team.

Ha, you haven't been watching 2028 games if you don't see that kid's natural ability.

Coppermine unbeatable? Hero's beat them last spring, MDU lost by 1 to them in Spring. Crush and M&D tied them over summer.

I do agree Coppermine top 2028 team, but def beatable. Hero's lost by 2 this past weekend to them.

All the top teams in the midatlantic NGLL (Copermine, MDU, M&D, Heros) are capable of beating each other. But no chance a DMV team is beating any of those teams this year. Closest anyone might get to beating a top team is Crush and the only team that could possibly do that is Pride. So yeah, we will have to wait for Capitol.

IMO Crush is now better than Hero's, so best chance for a DMV win would be against Hero's.

Why do you think they are better? Did they gain a player? Fall results hard to say, they didn't play a lot. HG looked good against Coppermine, very close, even indicated by the 6-4 game, it really coulda gone either way.

The Hero’s parents do follow this forum, who woulda thunk?

Perhaps they are better this spring than in the fall, but the 4-3 Hero's win against Pride in November makes me think they may not be as dominant as they used to be. I understand that was a very close game with the score tied into the final couple of minutes, at which point Hero's scored and killed the clock the rest of the way. I understand, at least on that day, the teams looked to be pretty evenly matched. I don't think Pride would match up that well against any of the other top teams, including Crush. Crush has some dangerous players and if I had to chose, I'd play Hero's rather than Crush.

Pride has a shot at making the playoffs. They will probably only finish with 2 loses. Heros already lost to coppermine and still has to play M and D, so both teams could finish with 2 loses.

Not a chance. If even Hero’s got knocked out crush would make that it in over them. But keep dreaming Pride Dad
