Ovarian cancer? Bloating, nausea, abdominal pain, fatigue.

Have you had LFTs done? Im suprised with right side pain they havent ruled out liver issues.

With your background you are at higher risk for crohns, pancreatic cancer, and liver issues like gaucher disease mentioned above. The latter two fit some of your symptoms.

The yellowing of anything in your body should be prioritized.

OP here.

Still in pain. Finally went to the ER and got a CT scan.

Bilirubin was high but they said it's because I'm not eating and I'm not eating because I feel extremely bloated and uncomfortable but there is nothing in my bowel.

TT

SScan
EEEliminated

Appendix issues
Gallbladder issues
Ovarian issues
Pancreas Issues
Kidney issues
Liver issues

They want me to go to a GI as soon as possible. The soonest that they could squeeze me in is in 2 weeks.

I still have extreme bloating and increasingly worse abdominal pain on only the right side all day and night with some pain spreading to my back.

Please tell me what to ask GI. I assume that they'll give me a colonoscopy but what else do I request. Due to my gene difference, I am at high risk for ovarian and colon cancers. I feel helpless from now until then. Nothing helps with the pain.

OP, have you tried calling around to other GI offices to see if anyone can get you in sooner? I'm so sorry to hear this is still going on with no resolution. I do think a colonoscopy is what you need and will very likely provide some answers. My concern is that you may have to wait again on an appointment for the procedure, even after you finally see the doctor.

OP download ZocDoc, enter your insurance info and you'll be able to see any doctor who uses it, accepts your insurance and their openings. Do not wait if you can help it you've been in pain for quite a while.

At this point I assume it’s autoimmune . Did you have CoVID this year ? It can trigger latent autoimmune disorders. Ask for a blood panel to check sedimentation rate, RF factor, ANA, titre, etc. Maybe Chrons or IBS.

OP, my DH went to the ER for rectal bleeding and they got him a colonoscopy the very next day right in the hospital. Not the same situation as yours but it might be worth asking since you’ve been suffering for so long.

A CA125 blood test would probably detect uterine cancer.

Bloating could be SIBO. A hydrogen/methane breath test performed at home detects that. You breathe several times in device half the day, and have a limited diet day before test and day of. Good luck.

Oh, if you want to try a SIBO home remedy, I highly recommend Doterra GX Assist. Try it 10 days and see if you feel a lot better. Helped me immensely. And avoid fiber, soy, legumes, probiotics, and carbonation. Maybe Amazon Prime has some.

Endometriosis. I had what you described and it ended up causing an obstruction of my small intestine. Fun stuff. It is also autoimmune in nature and you can have flares of symptoms.

Doctor actually did three medical tests (Blood counts CBC with auto differential, comprehensive metabolic panel, C-Reactive Protein) -- ALL were 100% normal. (And, as stated before, ultrasound was normal.)

Pain is still bad -- unable to sleep bad but not ER bad.

Belly is now significantly extended -- I look a couple months pregnant.

And I've lost multiple pounds in the past week.

Gallbladder is out -- no jaundice at all.

I have an OB appointment on September 12th.

Meanwhile, I am thinking it is celiac. As I mentioned, my maternal grandmother died of ovarian cancer relatively young (under 50 and before menopause) and I recall being told that it put me at somewhat higher risk for ovarian and colon issues, including celiac.

Just because I am in so much pain and discomfort, I would love to know WHAT to do while I wait to a GI appointment (which I am going to try to make ASAP). Besides completely eliminating gluten (no, I didn't do the barley water and don't eat that much gluten in general), how do I reduce the pain?

My concern is that I didn't eat one bite of anything that could even contain gluten yesterday. I had oatmeal (organic, steel-cut, high quality brand), celery with hummus and cream cheese, and coffee with nonfat milk, and yet I still was major bloated, crampy, and gassy. Do I need to avoid all dairy and legumes too? What food ideas to people have? I have almost completely lost my appetite anyway but I need to eat.

Does exercise help? Cardio or strength? Does lemon in water help? I will do anything.

So, you ate a ton of fiber. That's the worst if you have SIBO. The oats, the celery. Try eating mostly protein instead. Avoid all fiber, beans, soy, soda, alcohol. Rice might be bad too. Limit bread, pasta, crackers.

Continue with Miralax every day. You should restart gluten so that celiac can be ruled out. H pylori is often checked for people with bloating. Continue the lactose exclusion for at least 2 weeks (milk, ice cream, creamer, cheese, cottage cheese, cream cheese, yogurt). After that, recommend limiting things that can cause bloating- carbonation, gum chewing, hard candy, hot drinks and using straws , water bottles with narrow spout. Anxiety can also cause you to swallow air. Do you use CPAP? If ovaries look OK, would not be worried about cancer. Why did you have tubes removed?

What was the treatment afterwards?

Gluten free oats can still cause a reaction when you are celiac. Dairy as well. I’m not sure this is food related but I’d omit that and any fibrous foods or nuts for now too.

Would strongly recommend continuing gluten while waiting for GI appt.
