| SIBO? I kid you not, I had so much pain I feared ovarian cancer. Gyno said to see a gastro because for women all the stuff down there are jumbled together. Turned out, I had SIBO, which caused pain (gas in small intestine apparently hurts like hell), nausea and severe bloating. Got prescribe antibiotics that knocked out the issue. |
Yes, it does. Ovarian cancer presents as a mass |
+1. I’ve had a few ovarian cysts so I’ve been down the ovarian cancer rabbit hole before. If they ruled out cysts, then it’s not cancer. If it were and you were already severely symptomatic, they would have been able to visualize something on the ovary. |
| If you aren’t having bowel movements, you need to get checked. Could be a blockage or diverticulitis. |
| It's probably a digestive bug. |
OP - have you ever been tested for gluten or dairy sensitivity? I have a family member going through some similar things (male), doctor is fairly certain it's celiac just waiting on final results |
| Regular ultrasound can detect gall bladder infection. |
| I had similar symptoms and feared the same. Turned out to be IBS. |
Bowel obstruction? Crohn’s? |
|
Oh man I understand your paranoia. I would try to get into see a GI dr. Good you have a OBGYN appt coming up.
|
| I am not a doctor but don't think you can rule out gynecological issues without a transvaginal ultrasound. If you have a blockage, your first stop is a gastroenterologist. Have you tried making an appointment with a nurse practitioner at Capital Digestive Care? They are very good and the NPs may be able to squeeze you in. |
| My mother had similar symptoms. Turned out to be diverticulitis. Can you schedule an appointment with a GI specialist? |
|
Get a blood test for celiac. It is about $40.
Three of the four symptoms you mentioned are common with celiac. |
I'm PP. Mom's symptoms for celiac were what you have. |

Take two colace and drink plenty of water—including hot water.
Try a suppository to get your bowels moving. If you feel relief, then that was the issue and you should see a gastro doctor if not. |
