+100 Love how pp thinks "there is nobody out there anyway." Truly a liberal bubble-dweller. |
Exactly. Lack of effective consequences certainly increases crime. What is the penalty for stealing a gun? Zip? |
People carelessly allowing their guns to be stolen are a big part of the crime problem as well. You idiots think guns prevent crime, yet in some cases your gun makes you the target of crime. Get it through your heads already: More guns DOES NOT mean less crime. On a per-capita basis, many of those rural areas with high rates of gun ownership have every bit as much and often more crime than DC does. |
That's how DC is with far too many things - inefficient "make work" programs with very little oversight and accountability. |
Kids who have serious behavioral issues, kids who are violent, should be funneled directly into programs to deal with it rather than having all of the disconnects. |
| Lol Build The Wall! |
They’re dumping violent kids into the schools on purpose, you know. |
| So people in jail get free degrees? Socialism! |
They made a movie about it. |
Liar. |
| That will lead to abortion. Can’t have that! |
It's no lie. On a per-capita basis, many of the reddest parts of the country, with the highest rates of gun ownership, have more gun homicides and suicides than the rest of the country does. https://projects.oregonlive.com/ucc-shooting/gun-deaths Not an opinion, it's a fact. The data PROVES it. For anyone to insist otherwise is the lie. |

Good thing the Supreme Court actually disagrees with you, fortunately the highest court in the land describes these young teens as infants and realizes that their brains are still developing as many young youth.
DC needs to create more after school programs for teens. Moreover, crime happens everywhere. This is a result of decades of the US government instituting polices (according to history) that detrimentally affected African American communities. Slavery (the US has not reconciled for its wrong), Jim Crow, redlining, chain gang, medical experimentation, government dropping crack into their communities, Gov't pushing welfare in the post 1960s, prison to pipeline policies, lack of proper funding in their schools, lead based water & paint. I could go on. This is a problem yes, but the larger issue is systemic. |
Believe me— when the kids of these posters get into trouble, they will be the first to say their brains are still developing. They just kids that aren’t theirs to be jailed. |
