I assume it’s legal holidays. I’m sure OP will work it out. |
Agreed. Probably DCUM isn’t the best audience to float this idea, since the folks here are generally used to not working weekends or really flexible jobs. There will be plenty of takers - but they don’t post on DCUM. |
That’ll get old real soon and you know it. |
You know that millions of people work weekends, right? |
But DCUM sees people working weekends in their restaurants, stores, hospitals… even their kids coaches/refs and their ministers (for those decrying family sports time and church) are working weekends! We see life happening outside to 9 to 5 Monday thru Friday! |
No, I absolutely do not “know it”. I’ve worked weekends before and seven days a week. You’re spoiled, PP. This is a damn good job. |
You guys get that the parents are working at their bakery six days a week, right? But a nanny can’t work five hours a day for six days?
Spoiled, entitled brats on this thread. |
Oh my! It's not like OP is making a big point of it being part of a compensation package. It just helps to explain the unconventional schedule. And it is a nice little perk. |
You are deeply troubled. Five hours a day for six days and home by noon?! For $40 an hour plus healthcare and a car?!! People like you give nannies a bad name. You’re entitled and lazy, PP. |
OP and her husband are pastry chefs in their own bakery. You ever buy a croissant or donut on the weekends? Who do you think makes them? |
+1. She isn’t troubled, she’s just a bad nanny. |
I would actually love this schedule with elementary schoolers! Partner does drop-off in the morning, I have an hour or so between finishing work to putter and relax, than I can pick my kids up and not have to worry about aftercare, etc. Sure losing weekend mornings would be a trifle annoying but it would be worth it for being free all days after school. |
Yeah that would be perfect to also get an after school nanny gig that is also well paid. For someone who is at a point in life that they want to work a lot, it could be good. |
You aren’t going to start at $40 an hour for one baby plus healthcare and a car unless you give something up (like weekend mornings).
This forum has far too many entitled fools. |
