Is cosmetic breast surgery in your late 40's really stupid?

Anonymous
I am scheduled for a reduction in September and I am 48. I can”t wait. I am a size 6, tall and I have ridiculously large boobs. I tried working out more and losing weight and it just made them more pronounced. I am done with not having things for right, back pin, etc.,, go for it OP!

I'm 46 and considering a breast lift due to sagging. I don't wear tight clothing and have supportive bras, but I hate the way sagging feels when I am not wearing bras or intimate with my husband.
However, I have some reluctance because my main hobby that gives me a break from family obligations is tennis. I don't want to pause that, for my mental health, and I don't see a way to do the surgery without a break from tennis for the recovery.

Getting implants in your late 40s seems silly. A reduction doesn’t though- that serves to improve your physical health. A reduction at any age is worth it, so long as you are young and heathy enough for the procedure and recovery

Just a reminder that all surgery has risks. Hank Williams wife just died from a collapsed lung after cosmetic surgery. She had implants removed, a breast
Lift and lipo.

What were your symptoms?

I fantasize about this. I'm 44 now and realized they ain't coming back after nursing for 3.5 years in total.

Where did you go and how much was it?

I had a lift/slight reduction at 52. That was 6 years ago and I am thankful I did it every day- should have done it earlier. I'm so much more comfortable.

Has anyone just had a lift and nothing else? I’m struggling with how sad and deflated mine look, but don’t want implants.

Don’t do this. You’ll be that embarrassing older woman with huge fake tits that everyone sideeyes.

My sister has 10 close friends from HS and they are all 55/56. 7 of them have had reductions/lifts. Even the small cheated women had their breasts become uncomfortably large after menopause. It was my sisters second reduction/lift.

I would totally get a breast lift. I have narrow shoulders and ribs with large breasts. It is uncomfortable, and makes me look larger than I am. And buying bras? Forget it. Nothing fits well.

If I had the money to spare, I’d at least get a consultation.

That's a ton of surgery and she looked obese, which comes with high risks.

Why are implants silly at a certain age if they’re not at others?
