Schools and Education General Discussion
You have nothing credible to add when you have your head in the sand. |
I bet you are right. I remember that poster. Total nutcase. |
I don’t care why NY does, starting kids in full day school at 4 years old is ridiculous. You know I’m right but don’t want to admit it. |
What would you base your questions on with your trumped up assumptions of something I never said? |
We have a same age child. Kid will be 17 for two weeks in college. Not a big deal. Kids have enough school without adding an extra year. We moved ours ahead. |
You seem to be agreeing with the PP. I’m asking why. |
Obsessive, emotionally unbalanced sock puppet strikes again. And answers her own post for good measure. |
It tells you that I knew something was up and parents know their children best and they are the most capable of making the proper decision for their child. One of the teachers was shocked we wanted to hold him back. I guess she thought I was lying when I described his behavior at home. Glad I didn’t let her gaslight or shame me into pushing him through. Besides, DC is one of very few states where the cutoff is so late. If you have an Aug/Sept birthday, nationwide you will be the youngest when going off to college. |
We have a September kid and you are wrong. I cannot see him in a year younger grade especially academically. Many kids are in full day day care so it’s no different for them. We did a prek program the year before as a transition that was full day. Kids need to learn and that age is critical for brain development |
Not a troll. Many of us strongly agree. |
Ask yourself why you target questions to people who have no connection to what you are asking. |
I started at age 4. And graduated on time, no problems. Wow, soooooooo ridiculous. |
You could get him evaluated and choose not to. You are making excuses. We saw our child had delays as a toddler through elementary school. We spent a fortune on private evaluations and services to get out child caught up and still sent them early. The disaster was you ignoring it and expecting the schoo to fix it vs getting that child help. B |
Nice story…next. |
Bingo! And obviously redshirting him didn’t help! |
