I checked it out yesterday. The store is gargantuan. I don’t understand why people are griping that suburban locations are bigger.
Why would you need it to be bigger. It already seemed miles long to me.
Cafe seating seemed fine. Do you really sit and eat at Wegmans?
Missing some products - whatever! Find some new favorites. There is more than enough choice

Yes! Their prepared food is amazing. As a grad student I would camp out at the Wegmans near my school and study there. Wegmans is so much more than a grocery store….

I can see enjoying their food as a grad student but now as an adult?
It is ok I guess but certainly not amazing

I live fairly close so I went by this weekend and was not impressed. It was crowded, which I expected on the opening weekend, but once you were in, there was no flow. The departments were crowded together and had too many places for bottlenecks to occur. It was impossible to navigate and find the few items I needed for dinner. I think I’ll give in another try in a few weeks to see if it improves but I really didn’t see what everybody is excited about. It was a crowded, overpriced grocery store.

We used to do our shopping at the Tyson’s Corner Wegman’s, so very happy to have this one closer. We did our shopping there yesterday. It seemed bigger to me than the Tysons location. I was able to find everything I wanted. Super crowded and I’ll be happy when there are less people just checking it out - but of course that’s to be expected the first couple months.

I do wish they had the hoagie bar!

The sushi was gross. Had been looking forward to Wegmans sushi and the rice was old and hard and the nori was super chewy. Bleargh

disappointed they didn't have a poke bar like Tysons. They had a few bowls by the sushi but it did not look good.

Looked at delivery and groceries seemed consistently overpriced — even compared to Whole Foods.

It was very busy so hoping that will calm down. Overall still happy to have one a 7 minute drive from me vs the 40 minutes to Germantown. That said a few misses:

Not enough seating in the cafe area. Also missing the sub shop (though this one has the burger counter but I miss my subs).

Since they can sell alcohol, a lot of floor space is dedicated to it. That’s frustrating because they are missing some products. When I asked customer service how to recommend a few of my staples they have in Germantown but not at the DC location the staff member shrugged and said they don’t have as many products due to space.

There’s also no self-serve olive bar which is disappointing

But, I got most of what I wanted and parking was easy, so I call it a win.

I heard on the news they have a "Hoagie bar." We were going to go just for that. They don't have it?

I read on popville that they will have this in a few months but some of the things needed for it are still on order.

No this one doesn’t have the made to order subs. Disappointing
