Ooh, I really like this and it's one I've been getting ads for even though I've never purchased anything from Pact. Maybe it's a sign.

Does anyone know how Pact sizing is? I'm worried that the small would be too large on top (I'm severely lacking in the boob area) , but I highly doubt that someone my not-that-small size (5'4, 115) wears an XS if that's the smallest size they make.

If anyone else has a flat, rectangular body like me, I recommend this boring but very flattering dress:

I'm always looking for something with a built in belt or a cinched waist. I can't do unstructured or dresses with tiers.

I have a different Pact dress, and it runs TTS or a bit big. Often mediums can be tight around my back, but the one I got from them fits well, if almost a bit bit. With your size, you might well be an XS in their sizing. 5’4, 115 sounds pretty slim to me.

Love this! Concerned about wrinkling though. A great summer dress shouldn’t need starch and ironing to look presentable. Can you speak to how it wears and washes?

XS should fit. I’m 5’5” 125 and have the fit and flare dress in a
Small.

I have it three colors from last summer (when J Crew had a Baird McNutt linen line). Machine wash, hang dry, wear with Birks, Vans, Superga, or Converse. Buy one size down from your normal size. Also great as a swimsuit cover up. If you don't like real linen, which wrinkles, don't buy it. If you love real linen, like I do, it's a dream summer dress. You can wear a bra and it has pockets.

I love this! I’ve been trying to have a no shopping may but this thread is tempting me.

This is very close for me, and I have one of the shirts from last year that I love. I just wish I liked the colors more! The red is a lot.

Have looked at all links, and am thinking only 1 of these would work for me (the faux wrap).

Short, 5'2", short-waisted and busty. Many are sleeveless (not with my 54 year old arms), require no BRA (not with my nursed 3-kids droopy DDDs), and have a little belly.

Any other suggestions for me??

Same figure. Very hard to dress, especially with all of the midi and maxi lengths. They look terrible on short women. I am stuck with JJill for now. And don't even like what I buy all that much

Why not the JCrew linen dress? It has sleeves, you can wear it with a bra, and isn't tight in the waist. It comes in a petite version, too.

I think the lands end one I posted above comes in a short sleeve version. But I also think we women of a certain age need to get over it with out arms. Add some push-ups to your tv watching if you want but also, it’s okay to have freckles bag wing arms at 50 or 60. We don’t need to sweat out sleeves to hide that. I give us all permission.

I agree with this pp 100%. I’m 37 so not in bay wing territory yet but I feel like we all deserve to be comfortable especially as we get a little older. How many collective hours have we all spent shaving, styling our hair, putting on make up etc etc so we are pleasing for others to look at?? At a certain point we all deserve to be comfortable and whenever I see an older lady with legs or “bat wings” out i just think, good for her!

I'm 42. My perfect summer dress is:

1. A light, 100% woven cotton, and NOT a knit jersey that get too hot, but mustn't be too see-through. If gauzy, it has to have a cotton lining at certain areas. Linings are often not cotton, so that reduced options.
2. It has cap sleeves or similar to protect my shoulders from the sun.
3. It has a waist because that's my best feature.
4. It goes down below the knee because I don't like my knees but not too long because it gets in the way when I walk the dogs.
5. It's a nice color or pattern.

Which is why I don't have a lot of summer dresses!

Same. I don’t know why this is almost impossible to find.

I bought two of these last season (two different colors) and love them. It’s a nice thick cotton and doesn’t wrinkle. I’m a size 10 with big boobs and nice legs. It really plays well to those features.
