Based on this forum, I believe some people wear shorts under dresses to address this.

You can also get chafing cream I think?

NP, I don't have the dress above, but I am loving these dresses from Target and have them in multiple colors. The fabric is really nice!

wow 23000 views! Lots of us looking for dresses!

I look very nice in dresses and recommend a more structured design. The loose, T-shirt style dresses add pounds and thus are not flattering.

I recommend something like this

This is a favorite summer dress- love it with sneakers or sandals. Packs great- no wrinkles. You do need a racerback bra. Sligthly over $100 but so worth it IMO

This stuff works wonders: https://www.amazon.com/Monistat-Chafing-Relief-Powder-Protection/dp/B00AXVJF52/ref=asc_df_B00AXVJF52/

Apply in the morning and you a good to go for the day. Forget shorts!

Anyone have recs for curvy ladies with boobs and a bit of a mom pooch? I usually like v-necks or scoop necks but have been having a harder time finding them this summer.

I just ordered this in a few colors and sizes. I can report back! But it looks promising.

Summer dresses on sale are the easiest things in the world to find right now. Have you heard about the post-pandemic overstock in non-athleisure wear that stores are experiencing? Anyway, if you go to Macy’s website and check the boxes for dresses under $100, you’ll see that they are 30% off right now. Pretty soon they’ll be giving them away and it’s still early June.

Oooh—I love this one! How does the sizing run? I’m right in between a medium and a large.

Anonymous wrote:Well I'm short (5'4) and thick around the middle (medical issue that makes me look pregnant; hope to resolve by next year), and have discovered that the long loose sleeveless dresses are not very flattering. They make me look a lot heavier than I am. I'm hoping adding a belt will help. Otherwise it's back to the drawing board.

The short ruffly styles that seem to be popular at the moment are a little more flattering because they show my legs, but they make me feel very 'mutton dressed as lamb.'

Now I"ll have to scour through this thread again to look for styles that may work for those of us who are not tall and thin. This was helpful nonetheless as it forced me to address my clothing shortage and order/try on a variety of options.

I'm also 5'4 and carry my weight around the middle. I am far from being a fashionista but I recently ordered this dress and it's very comfortable and flattering.

Reporting back. Never mind on this dress. The top is like 3 sizes too small for the bottom. Horrible.

Aw that's too bad, I thought the gray and pink one looked pretty cute!
But thanks for the info..

Lol my mom sent me a bunch of “perfect summer dresses” which are huge hideous tent dress sack things in awful florals and picnic tablecloth prints.
