Looking for "the perfect summer dresses" for moms in their early 40s

--- Rules:
- under a 100 dollars (or close)
- looks casual enough for a playground or target run
- looks "put together" but not "she's trying too hard"
- bonus points if you have actually bought it and know how it looks in person
- double points if you tell me how to style it -- (i.e shoes / hat / bag )

For running errands and/or going to playground on the weekend in the summer, I like a simple old t shirt of tank dress. I have this one -- which costs $9.00 (really) -- from Target and it's honestly great for that purpose. I wear it with white sneakers or birks and my lululemon belt bag. If it's a little cool, I wear a lightwash jean jacket. Boring and unoriginal, I know, but that's my suggestion.

Me again -- I have it in the stripe.

Love this thread, definitely following for ideas as I am looking for the same.

Curious if anyone has this dress and can tell me what they think. Right now I'm looking for dresses that will minimize how much sunscreen I have to put on -- I have a number of cute sundresses with thin straps that expose a lot of skin on my chest and upper back, and I'm just tired of always having to be very careful about applying sunscreen to these parts of my body every time I leave the house in the summer. Hoping I can find some lightweight dresses that offer more coverage but are still sleeveless and comfy in DC summer heat:

Cute and practical. I don't wear shorter dresses often (I have a toddler, and longer hems mean I don't have to think about flashing the playground when I go to dig a granola bar out of the bottom of the stroller) but this one looks pretty easy to wear. Wish the brown was available in my size, but might check it out in black or one of the colors.

I just got this in the mail and was really feeling myself when I tried it on. I wouldn't wear it to the playground (I'm not dressy at the playground) but it's super cute on (I got the coral), under $100, because of the material it looks casual enough for a day of errands but I would also definitely wear to brunch when I want to be a little cute.

I just got this one in black, and it's very light/comfy:

I'm petite with no boobs to speak of, and it's a bit fuller in the body than I'd prefer, but I'm still keeping it.

I feel like I ask this every day! What bra do you wear with that? It's such a cute dress.

I have some bralettes from Amazon that are kind of "decorative" so that it you can see it seems intentional. Like this (though I wouldn't wear black): https://www.amazon.com/TD-Collections-Womens-Racerback-Bralette/dp/B0851539CL/ref=asc_df_B0851539CL/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=463109696083&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=14853605139819407253&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9061285&hvtargid=pla-1004537206527&th=1&psc=1

Whenever I'm feeling like I'm not rich enough or successful enough compared to the DCUM crowd, I go on the Beauty and Fashion forum and enjoy that at least I have better taste than everyone here.

I bet you're gorgeous and thin and people think you're ten years younger than you are too!

Can we add, “must be able to wear a regular or t strap bra” to the rules? I am so sick of that useless surplice neckline that needs another hot layer of tank beneath.

I rarely shop at Jcrew anymore, but bought this in hibiscus a few weeks ago. I think it's actually cuter than it looks on the model.
