Girl, you need to step back from the ledge and get off DCUM. Don’t you have a lot of work to make up? Anyway despite your bluff about them still coughing a lot, if you are really following CDC then your DC’s symptoms must have improved a lot in order to end isolation. That’s good anyway. Take care. |
It is a big deal. You're probably still contagious yourself. In a few years, perhaps when you're all dealing with the long-term health consequences of your decisions, the penny might drop for you that you've exposed other people to this |
+1. OP was distraught and surprised that her son got Covid at daycare, yet is sending them back while symptomatic. They probably got it from a another symptomatic child to begin with. |
NP here. My kid was actually hospitalized with RSV. I can’t believe parents of young kids are still so terrified of COVID despite somehow existing with the risk of RSV before, which is way worse for the really little ones. |
This is misinformation. You can wear a high qualitly mask as can others. |
I actually didn't know about RSV and yes, my kid ended up in the PICU for 3 days. I think the lack of attention to RSV AND dismissal of COVID in kids shows that we don't really care about kids |
Your child was in picu for Covid? How old? |
3 |
Our daycare is still masking. |
No, you are giving misinformation. You can still give covid wearing a mask, as there are gaps and not 100%. Why do you think medical professionals still ge tit. Really crummy. |
Both are equally concerning. |
Same! Thank goodness |
Of course they are concerning but anyone who is actually being honest recognizes we can't continue masking young children or requiring 10 day quarantines forever and neither COVID nor RSV are going away. |
+1. My kids were back in June 2020. No masks in kids under 5, per VA law (until that ended) and we have not had any quarantines or closures. As far as I know no one in our kids' classes got Covid. We tested for every sniffle until about 6 months ago and they were always negative. And no, they don't call about everything. They use the same criteria as they did pre-Covid: no fevers, no *massive* amounts of snot or coughing. |
Long COVID is real. I don’t want that for my kid. |
