Let's get real. Reed, Occidental, Oberlin, Sewanee etc. -- none of these is similar in any way to U of R's heavily NE preppy wealthy and moderately conservative vibe. DCUM posters and be so off base sometimes.
I don't have any particular recommendations, but if ones exist they are private schools in the NE with a wealthy student body and they are larger than your typical liberal arts college. Fairfield sounds like a reasonable alternative. Villanova used to be but has gotten too competitive in admissions. |

I went to UR for grad school. The undergrads are all from the northeast it seemed, it is not a southern school at all, it is just located in the south. Like Duke, which has a large number of northeasterners. |
