+1000. The daily/twice daily shower people are really militant.

Totally.

How Many Showers Per Week?

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. Many doctors say a daily shower is fine for most people. (More than that could start to cause skin problems.)

But for many people, two to three times a week is enough and may be even better to maintain good health. It depends in part on your lifestyle.

My kids, DH and I shower every day. We’re militant about it because we like being clean and not smelling like BO. My middle son has pretty severe ADHD. For a while, he would shower and forget to shampoo. His straight, sandy blond hair would turn clumpy and brown. It was gross. Some reminding and needling to reshower fixed that pretty quick. So if I could get my ADHD son to shower correctly every day, so can you.

Every single day. My son is uncircumcised so it's especially important for him.

This group is obsessed with cleanliness. We don't work in the coal mines! With the exception of showering if sweaty from exercise, me and my kids shower once a week. Scrubbing your skin every day is not good for it.

So you and your kids stink? Or are you all magical unicorns that do not have body odor?

Every night before bed, and have since about age 2.

My kid showers once every month. It's up to him. Not trying to be a helicopter.
