+1,000 Can you believe the outrage over this? Absolutely moronic. This senior in high school shouldn't be putting out "Shameful!" tweets if he doesn't like the response he gets. He seems like an utter ahole, now whining that he didn't get a "proper apology." I would absolutely hate to be roommates in college with someone like this - always looking for a problem and then inventing one if nothing presents itself. He's one to avoid. |
It doesn't matter if to me really if this person is 17 or 70. That was an inappropriate response from an elected official to his constituent...just another in the post-Trump world who believes he only governs those who voted for him. |
When you can’t defend your guy on the merits, attack the other person. Just like Team Youngkin did to Ethan Lynne. |
Avoid shifting the issue to the teen in question and all your other red herrings. Do you really believe the tweet reply was APPROPRIATE from the official campaign? Really? |
Precisely this. Maybe he should have been taught to keep his political views off Twitter if he didn't want anyone responding in kind. I have zero sympathy for him. Have you seen his Twitter? Thanking all his "supporters"?? What an utter sycophant. This is the stuff of his dreams and he'll be milking it all the way to a job in Democratic politics, god help us all. |
Wow, you are really doubling down on this. You cannot cope with any criticism of Youngkin by people who are not Ethan Lynne, so you resort to making new, wholly baseless person attacks on Ethan Lynne? You need to take a hard look at who you have become. |

This kid lives for the attention. He's been interviewed on TV for his political views, and now has other interviews lined up because of this nonsense. Maybe you should read his Twitter before assuming he's a shy, reserved little thing who doesn't want any attention? [twitter] https://twitter.com/ethanclynne/status/1490335497155235841[/twitter] |
It wasn't "just anyone." It was the governor's official campaign. You truly believe, amidst all of your flailing here, that it was an appropriate response from an official to a citizen? |
|
I copied this from another thread since it was off-topic there, but appropriate here. This person is absolutely correct:
"Speaking as a Democrat, this is a ridiculous set up. That 17-year-old is a sophisticated kid who has been volunteering with campaigns literally since age 10 and is few months shy of being a legal adult. We can take issue with the lack of civility Youngkin’s aides displayed without pretending that they attacked a toddler or something. Come off it." |
+1 GOP is the party of deflection. Personal responsibility is for suckers. |
"It's okay that the official campaign's twitter account lashed out at the minor, because the minor is politically informed and almost not a minor." |
Read the bolded part again to yourself. Slowly. Oxymoron. Look it up. |
Except when it was Glenn's 17 yr old prep school kid, probably committing a crime in Election Day, at least being mind-numbingly stupid, then 17 was so, shucks, well, young. But when it's a 17 yr old on the Dem side, then, bring on the full bully. And Glenn's camp saying they didn't know Ethan was in high school? is absolutely BS. They know exactly who he is and the the HS is stated in his bio. |
Ethan's post was true (maybe the room was not a family room -- but its contents were cleared). If stating facts are an attack, then ok? And he wasn't the one claiming to be bullied. Adults stepped-in. As they should. |
