And yet in other contexts, Youngkin seems to think 17 yos should be off-limits. But of course, he is a hypocrite so it is to be expected.

Just another "rules for thee, not for me" Republican. What else is new? |
| It seems Youngkin is in the vein of aggressively stupid people like DeSantis, and they appear to have similar media teams. This is totally inappropriate to do to an adult, let alone a child, and a cursory check of the 17 year old’s twitter feed - that they used - would have shown how young he was (but let’s be honest; they already knew who he was). Republicans are abusive POS. |

YK respond: oh that tweet was unauthorized. Should not have happened and I told my team same. Let's continue to works together .....
No apology for the target or content of the tweet. Not even a "we're better than this" or "I hold myself to a higher standard." Nope, just a regret that his team was caught. I'm so tired of white men doing bad stuff and then forgiving themselves if their bad acts blow up on them. |
How shitty. Until Youngkin actually apologizes to this kid without caveat or equivocation, he owns this. |
He said he regretted that it happened. We know you don't like Youngkin. We know this teen doesn't like Youngkin. But, we also know this teen is loving this attention. |
and you know that tweet is exactly the cyber-bullying we're trying to teach our kids not to do. Cute that Glenn was so protective of his gosh, 17 yr old son who, golly, didn't know he couldn't vote. Twice. Despite his prep school education. In Maryland. With a vaccine and mask mandate. But any other 17 year old? Fair game. |
How do we “know” that |
|
So they put up a pic of the kid with Gov. Blackface? Devastating.
Kid needs to grow thicker skin if he's going to immerse himself in politics. |
Sounds like something a vile bully would say. Are you on Youngkin's campaign team? |
kid didn't complain. But why must the bullied stick up to the bullies? In this case, actual adults advocated for the minor. As they should when they witness bullying. Glenn apparently agreed. He just forgot to say "sorry." |
A Republican denying accountability? Shocker. |
We don’t. Pp is just trying to deflect blame from Youngkin and his team into a kid because he knows the adults’ conduct cannot be defended but is unwilling to admit that the adults were wrong here. |
No, we actually don’t. So it would be great if you would post whatever evidence you have that supports this. |
OMG. Could you possibly be making a bigger deal out of something so, so stupid and trivial? This is why no one takes you seriously. Find some bigger fish to fry. Or get a hobby. |
