Not really. Charles and Diana were already divorced when she died. I actually think if she had lived people would have been much more sympathetic to Camilla because Diana would have been off dating other men too. Agree that it was harder for them to get married with Diana dead than if she was still alive.

A lot of negative stories came out about Diana a few months before Charles and Camilla went public. A publicity stunt by the palace to get sympathy and acceptance for Charles and Camilla. And we don’t know if all the negativity was true since Diana can’t defend herself. I am surprised William and Harry handles it all so well. Perhaps another reason Harry wanted out of the royal family, an idea he announced long before Megan.

I think Charles was pretty obsessed with Camilla, but I'm honestly not sure she felt the same way. I honestly think she might've felt like it was her duty to keep the relationship (with the future King) alive if that's what he wanted. I'm not sure she really likes him that much (he's a very awkward person).
