She’d never win a primary to get the chance.

Haley is a million times more qualified than Biden.

But he's male.

She needs to make it out of the primary for it to matter

Haley lies daily is a pos and no she will never be a "contender"

DeSantis
Haley
Scott
Hogan
Youngkin

Some combination of the above would be a winning ticket.

Hogan is a nonstarter

Youngkin seems to have fizzled

Haley is just a little weird - I don't think it's her

Scott seems possible, but I don't see him winning the nom

DeSantis is so polarizing. For him, it would be a matter of turning out enough voters - and Dems not turning out that much. Like a Scott, or a Youngkin even, I think could plausibly convince moderates that they aren't super extreme - but not DeSantis. I think that would be a very high turnout election on both sides, and I don't know who'd bring out more of their side.

So this guy, the son of a state senator from West Virginia, is running for President. Apparently he drones on long enough in his announcement speech that his pregnant wife fainted.

DeSantis is who everyone is talking about, but Youngkin and Crenshaw have a lot more charisma and would play better on a national stage. Youngkin was able to carry Virginia and has crossover appeal between classic blue blood conservatives (people who still read George Will’s columns and wear blue blazers and khakis) and the Trump wing of the party. Crenshaw is the most articulate of the three and has the best life story and the most star power. His interview with Trevor Noah really opened my eyes about how much crossover appeal he could have to conservative and moderate Dems. He also doesn’t grovel to Trump, but doesn’t distance himself from Trump’s voters either and like Youngkin plays the fence very astutely in that regard.

A black or Hispanic conservative woman.

Previous PP here - I think it's useless to argue with someone that say Haley brings nothing to the table but crap. They are either MAGA or a resistance type Democrat. I won't vote for the GOP nominee for President, but I'll acknowledge that they may win the Presidency. And yes, I think Haley would make a formidable candidate against Biden.
