What if the "best fit" is a mediocre school?

Best fit is always best for the kid.

OP, is the "mediocre" school in Alexandria? We were chided for choosing this school over others. We are so happy we did. DS is excelling and so happy in the warmer environment.

Our older kids are at one of the more prestigious privates. Our younger one has no interest. As parents, we are 100% supportive of that decision to only look at other schools that may be considered less prestigious. We see how “fit” really matters.
